Araghchi calls on Iranian diplomats for action on RE

TEHRAN, May 14 (MNA) – Deputy-FM and secretary of JCPOA and Resistance Economy conference has said Iran’s foreign envoys should take effective measures for realization of Resistance Economy policies.

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi responded to press questions on Saturday about the role of Iranian foreign envoys and embassies on Resistance Economy at the "Conference on JCPOA and Resistance Economy, Opportunities and Capacities” in Tehran; “Resistance Economy enjoys diverse features, two of these features are important: endogeneity and exogeinety; in domestic side, it is highly endogenous drawing upon internal resources; however, it would absorb foreign resources as well in its exogeneity in realization of its objectives,” he told the press. “It will organize and regulate trade with foreign partners and will serve as a gate to foreign resources.”

“This function effectively seeks to undermine foreign pressures and sanctions; the mission remains with Iran’s foreign embassies and envoys to make clear and effective communications with foreign partners and players. Among the host of issues assigned to our foreign envoys are non-oil exports, technology transfer, foreign investment attraction, and effective communications with world larger institutions,” Araghchi said.

“Wider network of cooperation would rule out the possibility of sanctions, inflicting severe damage to sanctioning party; with Foreign Ministry, the issue remains crucial as well to coordinate foreign activities; once helping the country with handling sanctions and solving pressing problems of economy during sanctions, now foreign envoys should identify and create opportunities and resources held so far unexploited,” said the deputy-FM. “Our experiences of past few months indicate that improved activities require more serious communications and contacts of foreign ministry and economy-related ministries for a better capacity-building; we agreed during the seminar to hold a second edition with Iranian envoys which are more active in economic sector.”

Araghchi said that AEOI had been actively engaged in international communications immediately after implementation of JCPOA, with some joint ventures underway with other countries; "we briefed all our foreign envoys and embassies to launch efforts to activate Iran’s international potentials of cooperation,” he concluded.
